Can you spot a Scam? Resident webinar a big hit!
Today a number of webinars were organised across our villages by the Resident Support team to share some very helpful and important advice on spotting, and importantly avoiding, scams targeting seniors.
Using information provided by the Australian Government as part of their ‘Be Connected’ program, and tapping into a public webinar hosted by the eSafety Commissioner, our Vasey Communities teams organised morning sessions for our residents at Kokoda Residences, Waitara, Northcott Gardens, Lane Cove and Epping Manor, Epping.
The information covered Phishing scams, latest Tax and Medicare scams, Friendship and Romance scams, Tech Support scams and provided top tips for avoiding them. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the webinar and felt that they learnt a lot.
